Hi everyone,
I have a minor problem with a GE proteus generator after taking an exposure and then removing the cassette from the table bucky the system intermittently plays a tune a series of notes? . Has anyone come across this before . It doesn't seem to affect system operation.
That sounds like the bucky drive motor that has a delay on driving the grid back to home position after the exposure. It may eventually fail and the generator won't expose on that bucky.
check the power supplies on the system I/F board in the top of the Jedi cabinet if the the +5 VDC is at or close to 4.85VDC in the base of there is a power supply if you look at the wires coming off the supply you will see a connector with power off reseat this connector(if you have contact cleaner spray or apply to both sides) then retest the supplies.
the intermittent tone can be a reset tone due to these supplies
