Dear
I have problem with GE QXi.I cannot generate X-ray. I have seen error log show:
Filament fault detected: Filament open circuit.
What trouble with my CT, how can fix it
Thanks
Hello,
you probably have a trouble with the tube, you must confirm wich filament is open, to do so first try an exposure with low KV and mA, if error appears, is the small filament, if not try an exposure with hi KV and mA, is error appears is the large filamente, if error appears in both cases, then both filaments are open, if one of them is good then the CT can work only with that one.
Remove HV cable from cathode Tank ohm from common to large and common to small should be very low resistance not open.Open is bad tube, If small and large are ok the QXI has a filiment select relay on the OBC backplane. Check that relay.
1. I think remove the HT cable on the cathode side and measure the resistance between the L & S with reference to C.
2. If filaments are fine, meaning low resistance, go ahead to check the Relay on the onboard controller.
N.B: Remember to check oil levels in the HV cable cup.
Thank you very much
My trouble have solved temporary, because after I check continuity between C and L and S, I ave seen Small filament is opened but Large filament is good. So, I configue all protocol use mA>=250mA and system run temporary while wait replace new tube
Thank all again

Sorry
I type incorrect, error show: FIL/MA fault detected: Filament open circuit
Who have solution?

I would take the cathode high voltage cable out and ohm from common to L and common to S. If open then a bad tube.
