ge rfx/sfx table error
April 21, 2015 07:26
ge rfx/sfx table gives an error code of 1018 when the transverse movement button is pressed. On power up it gives an error of 0AC. 1018 in the manual says found low signal on U223. There is no U223 on the board. I was not able to locate the error 0AC in the manual. Any suggestions would help. Thanks.

what system is the rfx/sfx attached to. this error 0AC here is a note I have. (but it is for an Advantx 1 positioner cabinet)
Resolution:
* Verify that the power assist handle is not being used
* Check Signal at U233 on the Power Assist board
* Verify that the power assist handle is not shorted
* Check/Replace cabling between power assist board and the power assist handle
* Replace the Power Assist Board

The OAC error is a problem with the power assist handle for the vertical movement of the spot filmer. Things to check: Verify that the handle is not being pressed during power up. Make sure the power handle is not shorted. Check cabling to power assist handle. Replace the power assist board. I would suggest look for broken springs in the handle itself. I don't remember, but it could be the table top movement is blocked during activation of the power assist.

The OAC error is resolved. I'm still getting an error 1018- LOCK- Table top lock not engaged. Causes:
Run power-up diagnostics, diagnostics pass
CPU is reading a high signal at U223 (SF1 A1 A6) when not requested or a low signal when requested. I checked the board, there is not any U223 on the board. The highest number chip is U220.
The manual is 8835/8535 SFD RFX/SFX TABLE.
I'm not sure what the model number is, all stickers have been removed and put on the console. The model numbers listed on the console are:
46-903669G01
46-903792G01
46-903825G02
