I have one G.E system five ultrasound machine.two issues. Monitor display intermittantly goes off. There is plenty of cross lines across scan image area.Some of the system tests are getting failed like Import board test,Long RFT test,Image port board test. Can anybody please suggest what could be the reasons and how we can sort out these issues.

What system are you talking about? Logiq 5 or logiqP5?
For Logiq P5, I think that the problem is related with SYSCON board where the video is generated to display in LCD, then you should check the CL1TRX assy where the RF signals are generated. This boards are labeled.
For Logiq 5, you have to check in BEP the VIC card where the video is generated.
Anil first of all tell me how you have done the tests since the monitor goes off.Secondly tell me if you can connect a pc through service port and read the messages there.In the system five there is a cover on the back and inside there is a parallel port for service.It is very important to connect through hyper terminal.
Thanks for your reply.The problem with the monitor, frankly speaking i couldn't vitness it even after long testing. But the user is saying some time it happens.
There is an option for test in the machine inside system setup,which can be accessed through 'setup' switch available in the keypad.
Regarding connecting the pc through parellel port , i didnt done it. Can u please breif me how it can be done.
