I have some questions about some E8 units. It would be great if you could help with.
1-A unit is switching intermittently between probes. Almost once a day the unit automatically switch active probe to the middle port. What do you think could be the problem ? (it happens in 4 units all with 13.0.4)
2-When loading another software ex. (13.0.0 instead 13.0.4), new option key will be required. Can a demo key from GE be used in that case ? or must the machine have a basic BT activation before using the demo ?
3-If the demo key will work, Can then the three month demo be activated while operating on that demo key ?
I would suppose the following:
1.1 It might be a software glitch if it happens on all 4 units. Trying another software version is reasonable.
1.2 It might be a hardware problem. For example system loses connection to the leftmost probe and switches to the middle one. Try different probes on the left connector. Check the lock system and contacts inside.
2. Demo key usually enables other options then basic BT. But You should try Your current option key it must fit. You need another key if You downgrade to SW 12.x.x
Before installation system asks for current key - if its wrong -You can't proceed further.
3. You can activate 3 months demo after reinstallation - no problem.
