How do i get into the error log for an HDI 5000 i have a service manual but it dose not say anything about the error log the unit failed the comprensive test and will not show why.
Try to hook up to the serial port on the back with your favorite terminal emulator. I am not sure if it was the HDI 5000, but one of the HDI units we had here had a failure in the scan front end. the error was echoed out along with much other interesting info at boot up. The output enabled me to order a very minimum number of possible boards after determining that positioning one of 4 boards would make the reported failure change.
