HDI 5000 error

In a place where there is no techinical service available that we know of(comores Islands) , I am trying, by this posting to help a friend who has a problem when switching on an HDI 5000.
Most of the times it gives error 0043 and from time to times.error 0017.
It was a donation without service manual anyway, so she cannot guess what the error might come from.

0017 Slot configuration error on bootup. Either the configuration was read incorrectly which would be a board failure or the board was not seated correctly.
0043 When trying to stop the data path to change modes, the SPM would not stop. This could be a board problem, or a software problem
I would suggest re-seating all boards. If errors persist, try
a SPM board.
