Hello all.
I have a problem with HDI 5000
whit replacement FEC in device began to give out the message: Error 002 and do not shows image of the transducer.
FEC Showing 1 if transducer is selected
Transducer is P4-2
Please helpme, thanks
*Error 002 "FEC alert message - The front end has stopped scanning because of some power monitor problem. This could be a hardware problem with the scanhead, the channel boards, the AIM, or the power supplies, but this also could be a system software problem. In reviewing the previous error messages, from the FEC, the board errorID should indicate if there is a specific problem with hardware."
Did it give you a board ID with the error message? Why did you replace the FEC to begin with? If it was the correct part number for the system, it would go through a flashing firmware process on the first boot-up, and it is critical to let it complete that process. It is not likely the P4-2 would cause that error.
I suggest you contact the company that sold you the board.
Hello David!
Currently the 0002 error banner is very difficult to troubleshoot and usually requires to replace multiple boards before the problem is resolved.
First step - you should check all power voltages!!!
Next step - after answer to markoshv@mail.ru

Hi David,
If I understand you correctly, the probe image was displaying okay, it just that it disappeared after you replaced the FEC, correct?
Was the FEC that you replaced compatible with the original one?
You also might want to configure the part in the service menu!
