Hello
I just changed tube in this system. Unfortunatelly I am not familiarized with the alignments and calibrations interfaces and the service manual I have is diferent of the system The system does not have the POR alignment softeare tool. Since I can not align nor calibrate the system is down, it can not acquire any patient because the kv unknow calibrated value (red kv number )Anyone can help with this?
I would skip POR and do BOW, ISO and The collimator alignment, Hot iso, MA cal, Das gains, and fast cals . Sometimes doing detail calibration is best. I may be wrong cause I'm only familiar with H2, 4x and 5x Gantry. The POR is very hard to do if you don't have the Polaroid film. Have you tried going to the GE website and downloading the service manual? You also need to micrometers gauges and a torque wrench. It is imperative that you torque the bolts to specification. Hope this helps!

Hello
Send me the correct model, Is the gantry square?
Could you send me picture of gantry and console labels to identify it?

Did you perform the "CHANGE TUBE" Program to register the new tube?...register failcode and new tube serial number. This will erase all data of the old tube.
Install the new tube and perform all necessary alignments.
If you have a system savestate, just restore the calibration files so that you do not have to manually calibrate.

Please make sure you properly install the high volatge cable with the O-ring on the new x-ray tube. Properly follow the service manual procedure on new tube , Perform kV and mA meter check, then Auto mA calibration, heat soak and seasoning depending on your tube condition. For POR without Polaroid film you can use any x-ray film and cut them around 4x6 inches inside the dark room and place them inside your own made envelope around 5x8 inches. Make sure your enveloped is light proof. Then follow instruction on POR using the x-ray film and develop after exposure. Another method use the smallest CR(computed radiography) cassette and follow the POR procedure , view the digital image of your expose cassette on your CR monitor . Repeat the procedure until properly aligned. Then follow the BOW procendure ,For the ISO without the micrometer gauge or dial indicator you can move up or down the tube by approximation, this might take some time. Then proceed with the service manual instruction on CBF, then SAG then detailed calibration, if needed collimator calibration, crosstalk and CT number adjustment, then fast cal and phantom scan test for image quality check. Then save system state data.
