TO THE BEST OF MY KNOWLEDGE, I HAVE HAD A 5000 & 7000 SHIMMED. HITACHI HAD TO PERFORM THIS BOTH TIMES. THEY ARE THE ONLY ONES WITH THE RIGHT EQUIPMENT.

If you will have any shimming problem we can try to solve it remote or to shim remote.
This whole scenario....sounds like the movie "money pit" to me....I dont think you can expect much in the way of uptime, service or anything. Sorry to be so negative...but I saw this kind of operation in India with well funded sources. I would not enter this type of project I think, unless I know everything is being done close to OEM requirements....
I agree with you. As a long time user of Hitachi systems, i believe that Hitachi has its own ways keeping 'secrets within' for its monopoly. Probably the reason being their cultural ideology.

The catch here is Shimming device and other tools like vector impedence meter etc.If you can get Shimming device for MRP 5000 or 7000 then shimming is possible,other tools are available.
The problem is the information, software, shimming metod, etc.
The tools are easy to find, you can use even a shimming plot for a profile, i.e.
Maybe, the magnet manufacturer can give the info.
