Thank you, Lenny for indications. I checked and I found nothing wrong . I entered the x - ray survey and we tested (F2 ) Xrays and only working 1 sec . then stops
As Lenny told you check the drums alignment. if the drum alignment is not OK you will get this error and when trying to switch the x-ray it will switch on for a 1 sec then off again.
I am working with Hologic, can you tell me from where did got the error description, I have the service manual but never fond an description to the "Index Error Code ###", if you have a document describing those index codes, can you share it with me?
Dear Lenny, we have a Delphi with the same error. We replaced the drum and tried to align it. While we were in x-ray survey, we could not change the main screen to Bar Graph Screen. We pressed and but we received just a bip from the PC. What might be the problem? How can we align it the system?

Problem/Symptom: Index Error code 278.
IDS_ERR_SCN_EXITERROR ErrorNo: 9174.
Xray signal level (hi/lo) did not match the filter drum position

Filter drum belts are too tight or missing teeth
