i am facing following error when doing daily QA.
"ErrorId: IDS_SCN_CHECKRETRYDCAL ErrorNo: 9237
Exit, repeat the QC procedure and check the phantom position carefully. System
failed. Check that the phantom is the ONLY object on the table.
Test failed - detector SD exceeded.
Abort flattening procedure!
Phantom is
probably out of position.
Is laser correctly aligned? Test failed - maximum SD
exceeded.
Is phantom correctly positioned? Test failed - absolute max or min
limit exceeded. Test failed - absolute max or min limit exceeded. Test failed -
absolute max or min limit exceeded. Test failed - absolute max or min limit

Hi, though I have never come across with this message I would start with checking of the filter drum, timing belts, and alignment using the pin. Then I would use survey to check x-rays.

hello
in my case, the problem was generated by the table alignement.
Can you try to disassembly the cover of the table and measure the distance ( in vertical and horzontal position) from the end of the railways to the table. If there's a significative difference, adjust by loosening the nuts at the base of the table, After being tightened, try to do a new test.
If you wont, i've the service manual in english. Send me a mail @ l.scaramelli@ib-santalucia.it

Hi Lorenzo, could you please send me this service manual? I have a Hologic Discovery System with the same problem. Thanks

Hello
in my case the problem was generated by a problem due to the table alignement.
http://www.frankshospitalworkshop.com/equipment/documents/various_equipment/service_manuals/various/Hologic%20QDR-4500%20Bone%20Densitometer%20-%20Service%20manual.pdf
here there is a service manual, try to measure the distance from the end of the railways and the table.
The section is the 4( table alignement)

you have to check your xray tube

verify the alignment of the detector/tube then perform a detector flatten calibration and redo the system calibrations

It appears that system finds the phantom at the wrong place on the table.
That means the table can be out of alignment (I agree with Lorenzo) but I would also check encoder's readback-table motor alignment procedure.
If laser points at the wrong spot due to misalignment (loosened screws maybe) then you place the phantom at the wrong position, this can be a second possible cause.

The CSFStream is the output of the detector. Likely causes are oil in the tube cup, detector failure, nylatrack cable failure, alignment, improper positioning of the phantom, table top not at zero, arm not parallel with table top. Check the tube output using x-ray survey as a first step.

check the x-ray level using the x-ray survey to check if it is x-ray problem or not first
