We are working with a logiqbook that needed a hard drive put into it. We have the software discs, but cannot figure out how to get base software loaded from CD onto the new hard drive. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
with the cd drive connected directly to the unit and disk insert it should auto boot to the cd-rom. if it does not then somehow the bios settings have been changed. if this is a different style hard drive then you have to go into the bios and let it detect it.
When I install the new HDD into the system and hook up the iomega cd drive and turn the system on. It flashed a underscore mark at me and that is it. When I go into the bios it sees my hard drive and I tell it to load to atapi cd rom first, but it never does load to the CD. How do I remedy this.

Hello! I have software and the service manuals for Logiq Book. You need to attach the external CD-ROM USB to the Logiq Book and start the loading the software. You need to have Base Image CD and the Application CD. You need to have the serial number and the license keys for the install the Application CD.
Ok when I put a new HDD(blank fully formatted), install the usb cd rom and put the Base application software in, how do I "start loading the software"? When I do this nothing happens. It is set up in the bios to look at Cd-Rom first. Thank you.
You have to use an Iomega Predator CD drive to install Logiq Book software. You can not install a blank hard drive into these systems. These systems require a hard drive that is preloaded with boot files. You would need to image a working Logiq Book hard drive to your new hard drive for it to work. The software install CDs for this system are not bootable. We have the ability to get your system operational. Contact me at beberling@waveimaging.net.
So the easiest solution was to find a good working HDD and clone it. We happened to have another logiqbook around that I could clone the drive. I have made a hard drive work from scratch in the past, but I cannot for the lift of me remember what the procedure was. I think it was done using a partition managing program. Thanks for all the reply's.

the GE software clone will only load to the C: drive so if it does not find it the software load will stop
