when you feel that Reconstructor is slow in start up.
pls make sure the Recon and Cdas cabinet is power on before Host PC. all lan cable is properly fit in.and the IP is fully check and correct.
Recon PC is run under Dos command you can connect LCD monitor to check what is status of booting. once the connection of host and recon is well established the running application will start up .( you can see like another dos window appear in the monitor)
most common issue:
1) PC host can not connect to recon via lan cable. either lan cable to switch box bad or another internet lan cable is pluged into the switch box( fire wall in this case).
2) in the service tool( host PC)
the network lan of recon need to be enter into the network list
3) the network icon(on host PC) show " network not ready.
the network icon display as" spectro"(don t change the name..)
4) the lan cable from host come out from 1 G net work card. please make sure IP address is correct and this is the right channel for Recon lan card.
5) simple but often happen. network switch set to 100 M instead of 1 G. both recon and Host network are 1 G card network.
The network card( both Recon and HostPC) speed & duplex settings should be on both sides set to "Auto detect" and the Reconstructor connection speed should be 1 GBps.
I need more information, as the network cable opens command communication and the SCSI cable opens raw data communication, please let us know what you mean about DELAY?
Get a monitor, keyboard and mouse connected to the reconstructor and watch it boot up.
A few things can cause delayed boots
Overheating - Fans
Date / Time set wrong
BIOS battery dead and needs replaced
Once monitor is connected what is it doing exactly?
Once it is booted fully, start a GYRORESTART or if later software a REBOOT of the HOST
During the reboot of the host you will see the RECON will also reboot to open both communication channels.
please check the error messanges of lan card on the event viewer (on windows), check the recon if is starting up, under FSF you have some tools to check the connections please let me know if you need the Autorization password, jaec1022@hotmail.com
dont switch off the machine . logout the gyroscan and it goes to sleep mode. Philips suggest to keep the system like this for more efficiency. evry day 3am it does a software check and clear the system files. If your really want to fix it need more inputs need to contact on my email
