I’ve carried out a diagnosed on a Philips HD11 system and according to the customer of mine, there’s “internal error” message occurred (very intermittent). The error message usually occurred during 1st time system boots up. Even after the system is being restarted few times the error message box still appeared. I’ve run the system RST (resident self test) but no error was found. I’ve check the application logs in the ultrasound system, & I’ve found out there are many logs stating “HV calibration fails” or “HV voltages exceeds its base limits”. From my experience, such application logs it usually refers to either the power supply assembly or/and backplane board. How do you think about this problem? My customer Philips HD11 system’s software is at 1.0.6.
Is it really the Power supply assembly or/and the backplane board giving such problem?
Dear Simon Tang,
i had a defective power supply at HD 11, it was occured by some defective capacitors. C616 and 617, 200V, 470µF were defective, i made all new on the left board (seen from behind).
The Power-Supply runs now.
But i have still a problem: it only starts when i cancel the connection from pc to the left US-Board
(orage clips). Otherwise it shuts down immediatelly when start, the green AC-ligt goes of. If i cancel the connection an give ac to the monitor, the system starts up, the HD11 software is shown. Now i can connect while running the system. all lights on power-supply go on and if i then restart the system, it works fine.
Please can somebody help me? Do somebody know the maintenance password? Its very urgently! Thanks for your help! Holger
Dear Holger,
I am having a similar INTERNAL ERROR AND FREQUEST RESTARTING problem with the HD11 supplied to my client. How did you solve your own? is it the power supply assembly you change or the backplane board? By the way, dear Holger, can you help with the Maintenance Password and the service manual? I will appreciate to have it please? waiting for your reply?
Hey folks. Dealt with this same problem. I, immediately, went to the Power Supply as the source of the problem. Turns out, the cooling fans were not functioning properly. The system was overheating, but not showing an error, and recking the power supplies. Try replacing the cooling fans for the power supply. They are located under the E-box assembly. This cleaned the problem right up.
Hi Edmund. For my experience backplane ver seldom. To isolate thiss iissuee, you can try going into simulation mode to distinguish either the pc section or the ebox. If not force boot the system to resident self test mode & look at the file. If you see many description dealing with HV message,, most probably could be your power assembly
Hi, i've i have updated my hd11xe from 1.2.1 to 2.08 software version, so now it compares the internal error message. 'iv run the Rst but no error was found. Power supply it's ok . Hi Simon
Recently i'm facing the same problem.
May I know how you solve it? I suspect its the backplane because I just replaced the power supply 2 years ago.
