Beamformer board problem. The US image is fadeing in and out slowly. The beam lights up suddenly and then fades into darkness :-) and again and again.
I managed to get another BF board, but it's not the same version. With the new board there's no fade in/out, but I have horizontal stripes across the beam, so it's not good.
So, obviously the BF is faulty. Can it be repaired? Maybe someone had a problem like this?
All tests in diagnostic passed :-)
If wanted, I can upload a video of the fault.

Dear Kobris,the problem is very common in BF boards from Voluson.We are doing board repairs and probe repairs and we have repaired a lot of BF.Do you have anyone with knowledge in board repair to help you?
The channel boards must be ok,we have never changed a channel board.You should look at the right corner of the board,not the side with the capacitors the other side.There is a very small three leg transistor there that you have to use a magnifing lense to see it.Very common to fail.

Right now i do not have a beamformer in the company.I will have one in a few days and i will tell you exactly which one to search for.As for replacing i always order the same one from an electronics store,but the 6 you found is not the correct ones.The element i am talking about is the size of a pinhead
I have the same problem and I replaced the BF together with all the channels, it didn't solve the problem, Have you solve the problem?

Old Voluson 730, SW v1.07f
Beamformer board problem. The US image is fadeing in and out slowly. The beam lights up suddenly and then fades into darkness :-) and again and again.

I will check the CPP too, I have seen the problem with the imagen fading out and the problem was the CPP
