Lightspeed LFC problem

June 03, 2015 09:45

Hi all you guys!
I made a Load from Cold to the Lightspeed Plus CT system, because a problem and replacement of the RIP board, MVME23xx. The SW revisions are the IRIX 6.5.16M OS and LightSpeed Plus SDAS 2.4.2_H2.4M5 Applications.
My problem is that the system does not go up to Applications, instead it shows up a window that says "Welcome to ct01, Hispeed CT/i" and ask for Login and Password. But I installed a LightSpeed plus!!!
The console is with Octane computer and Pegasus IG recon board.
I'll appreciate a lot your comments

please forgive me if this is to basic, you did verify your jumpers on the RIP board?
I missed a jumper and it caused the same issue

The jumpers are at same position. How could I discard problems in the piggyboards?

It looks like Applications CD ddint not load properly. It should set up the environment paramaters and could not ask you logon or password after a successful load.
Try loading the software from scratch using the proper documentation

I have had this problem before. On one occasion it was the Octane hard drive and then on the other it was the Octane itself.

My MVME board gets its red light lit. During application software load, I got error saying "Detection of Motorola board failed", also have another error standing something like "Pegasus IG could not reset". And the experience of Frank about the Octane. So I suspect for the Octane computer, the Pegasus IG and the RIP board again. Crazy. Is there a chance to upgrade this console to an HP basis console?
