Lightspeed protocols became empty after storing protocols to DVD

Dear Friends
we have a working LightSpeed but the trouble that when we tried to store the protocols to the DVD the system hangs, then it work again but we found that the protocols became empty.
can any body help me solve the trouble

Try saving all state files to a new blank DVD and then performing a restore from that one.
