One of my clients tried to load software from a different Lunar system onto his computer because it had more features then his software. This did not work. Now he tries to reload the original software of his machine and the machine tells him that he needs a key and does not accept the software. What should he do?
The key that runs the software on his machine is built into the disk. Each set of disks is designed for each machine because the system ID and the features are built into the software according to what was purchased. If they do a complete software install, it should overwrite everything and the system should work. They might have to do a patient data rebuild from their archive disks. Sometimes when reloading the software on those older machines, it wipes out your patient data and you have to rebuild from the archive disks. There is no extra "key" that needs to be entered. If that does not work, they might have to go in and delete the C:Lunar director and then reload the software, and then they will have to rebuild their database.
