I changed the motherboard in the PC and now I cannot get the PC to communicate with the scanner. Does anyone have the com port settings for both the BIOS and Device Manager? Thanks.

Desmond, I checked the serial port with a serial mouse. Worked OK. I then discovered that COM A in Bios was set to Com1 3f8, IRQ4. I changed it to Com 2 IRQ3, 2F8. Going to customer this morning to test. Thanks.
Hello, Mike! After setting the COMM port according to Romero directions, if it still fails, perform a firmware download, using the DL.EXE available in DPX folder at the MS-DOS command prompt. It should work. Remember: The COMM port, onboard or offboard, 'must' be an original RS232, not USB converted to Serial.

Com1=3f8, IRQ4 Com2=2f8, IRQ3. Have you checked the serial ports with a loopback test?

Thanks for the tip. It is the original RS232 port on the motherboard. I reconfig BIOS for this port to Comm 2, IRQ3 and 2F8.
