Hi Tom, if you can get me a copy if the error log I can help you identify the root cause. Feel free to give me a call next week and we can chat.
Thanks, Ben: 608-514-2413
I had the same issue...I have a bone density lunar prodigy.....if it has a small anode cable, GE will swap out the cable, but we didnt think the cables were the problem. We changed out the tube it was getting up there in age.....no more HV errors as of yet
Hi, Tom! It seems your tubehead is arcing. I believe there is a test in the service area that you can ramp the tubehead HV and make a kind of a burn in to try to eliminate the metal gas inside the glass (gettering). Try it first prior to replace the x-ray tube. 'God Luck', 'Good Bless', take care. MAC.
I have seen this problem several times and the error code is often ambiguous. sometimes you can get lucky check your hv cables carefully. the slightest carbon trace on the candle sticks will cause an arc and may give you a hvps failure and not show up as an arc. check the oil level in the tube. i once had this problem and found the level to be low. in this case it will probably be a ruptured expansion diaphgram. in this case, the enpansion tank will have to be replaced and the tube purged. if either of these are the case, you are lucky. failing this, I agree alexander that the solution is to replace the cables then the hvps then the tube (obviously starting with the cables then hvps tube last.
Problem could be one of 3 issues, most likely. Does it occur only while the system is in motion, or when sitting static. There are a couple of things to try. If you contact Ben Williams, a couple of comments down, he can most certainly help you narrow it down.
Hello guys, someone can help me with these errors:
26610: DMB power cycled observed.
26008:It was detected failed in the scanner firmware or HVPS.
26560: DMB firmware error log entry.
26036: Scan interruption detected.
HI Victor. Based on the limited data you sent from the error log my initial comparison to previous logs would be a bad tube, but I would need to match the full details. Any chance you could send me the entire log? Do you see notes that say HVPS detected an arc? How about any positive or negative current monitor deviation failures? Those usually accompany what you describe in your message. If so, bad tube. We have new tubes in stock if you are interested, but before selling you a tube I would want to see the full error log and perhaps a further description of the failure (i.e. is it not passing QA, does it give these errors only during a patient exam, etc...)
Feel free to email me directly: ben@dexasolutions.com
Dear Victor96,
A problem with DMB power cucled rasied from the folloing reason.
1. DMB board. If yoyr system has no DMB board the board that enbodies DMB board.
2. low voltage power supply
3. CSBC
4. Detector
5. HVPS for detector or the board that includes hvps for detector
or/ either related cables
6. Serial cable from detector to csbc for a prodigy..
Good luck

BMD is intermitently having "HVPS Fault Error" & "Scanner Reset Error" while doing QA and diagnostics, please share causes and corrective actions.

There are 3 reasons for this error Hvpower supply, xraytube or hv cables. There is no other to identify it but replacing the parts!, good luck

Hi, Victor!
It seems Tube Head is arcing.
Enter Service Mode and run some tests, checking, mainly, the X-Ray response.
Pay attention, if your can hear spikes, during QA or trying to perform an exam with higher KV and mA.
Hope these help, take care, God Bless.
Kind regards,
MAC.
