After replacing a DIB board you are required to run a fresh set of calibration tests. Feel free to email or call with questions. Ben: 608-514-2413 or ben@dexasolutions.com
I disagree with the first comment. I have successfully replaced any and all of the imaging components and simply started a new QC and have had zero problems because the components are so close in characteristics.
You are suppose to run a primary calibration to register and update new numbers. However, sometimes you can get by it but it's not the right way. you can e-mail me if you need more information at

The DIB is not a registered member of the Primary Calibration. That said, I have also swapped the channel elements from a bad detector to repair another bad detector with no adverse effect. I have also used a Primary Cal file from a different system to fix a corrupted file on a failed system. The "right way" is to correct the problem. Field service often requires imagination to overcome obstacles. The key is for the QC to be both accurate and precise.
Taking another primary calibration file from a different system can be used only for trouble shooting, if you are taking the file to fix an error then you are creating another error (accuracy issues) the primary calibration is based on the x-ray level adjustment, aluminum primary block thickness, secondary block along lucite block. these values then will be saved into the system.
By the way if you read GE-Prodigy service manual Chapter 5 (5.6 section) it tells you what tests to perform when you replace any parts. There is a BIG chart shows all the tests that needs to be done.
If I were to depend on GE for my service work I would have been out of business many years ago. I have serviced Lunar, Hologic and Norland systems since 1996. Bone densitometers have been my only business since then. I mentioned, above, the Accuracy and Preciseness are the key issues. If it works don't fix it. We have successfully repaired and or installed hundreds of these systems every year. It is our only business.
Hi. I have an old error that appears time to time: DIB reset failed. CSBC reset failed. Firmware error log entry.
Please, I need an adviced for this problem. I have already download the firmware for csbc and dib, but happens again. I solve it when I unplug the white connector from the DIB and plug it then. But it shouldnt work like this.

It sounds like the lower cable bundle is moving at the bulkhead as it flexes in the nyla-trak. Cable tie the lower cable bundle at the end of the nyla-track so it cannot move. This is not a software problem. Also it could be the power supply wiring from the cSBC to the DIB.
I had the same from and was able to trace it to the power loss from the SBC to the DIB board. The error occurs when the voltage drops below 4.75 volts. Cable #1 Carries the 5 volts to the DIB board. I was able to correct this using using gold contact cleaner on all connections. I applied this and the voltage when up to 4.95V and problem has never appeared. Also make sure the connections and cables at the bulkhead are all pushed in.
