I am service technician of philips mri.
one of my customers has a problem with his philips mri intera 1.5T . When he wants to begin an imaging protocols it takes about 30 seconds to start scan.It is worse in spine protocols.

is the delay for the scout scan or actual scan? I had a similar issue and I ended up having to reload software, once on another type MRI somehow every exam had a contrast injection delay setup.
is it while the prescan is running or before the prescan? If it is before, try deleting some patients from the disk and doing a defragmentation. If it is during prescan, then check the cals that are happening that take so long---if it's the frequency adjust, then check the shim and gradient offsets, etc.

Yes, is a Software Problem. You can try access as admin and run some diagnostics, or reinstall the software (recommended). Good Luck!
