Hi. I have a problem with Philips Bucky Diagnost with Optimus 50 generator. Everything seems OK but equipment is not shooting. There is no error code. Is there anyone can help me to solve the problem? I don't have any service manual or service soft. I think i need to connect to generator to upload generator configuration, seen error codes etc. Thanks in advance.
If this is intermitent, software inhibits the exposure if more than four preps are completed within a minute or two to protect the anode, the user does not see the error however it is stored in the error log. It may be an interlock issue, have you got the green ready light on the CS, maybe try direct auxillary. Think basics like handswitch issue, if there was any corrupt config/cals the generator would not complete a succesful boot. Does the unit go into prep?
Hi Gary. When i press hand switch from generator, relay is getting the signal. So i don't think i have a problem with hand switch. But i am doubting generator is not getting ready. As i don't have any manual or experience for Philips x-ray, i am not sure what is the generator ready situation?
In order to have exposure enable the unit has to be in ready state indicated on the control console. Is it ready? If so, is there anode rotation when you press the exp. button? Why do you think that config is needed? Did the system work before normally? Is it a just installed system? Give more details.
System installed min.5 years before. I never took care of system. I was searching a service manual to understand better system. I asked some of my friends has Philips experience. Ex Philips engineer visited the system and he said this problem happened before and it needs generator config. one more time. For me generator is not getting ready, but to understand this i need service manual to learn how to see ready mode. Because, when i turn on system there is no error code. When i press hand switch relay from generator is getting signal so hand switch is OK. Generator control unit which is electronic board located top of generator are flashing red during start up after there is no any led visual or flashing. I don't have any idea ready condition.

Some more few things.... If you use any of the Bucky devices be sure you pull out and push back the selected Bucky tray completely before exposure attempt. This is a function to avoid double exposures on the same cassette.
Your system olso can have cassette sensing device so, without cassette you can not initiate exposure. On older systems this movement is also an essential mechanical charge of the catapult bucky system. This may happen if radiographer staff have changed and miss education of the followers.
Good luck
It is very unlikely that the system loose coniguration without a sounding error message. Chose a direct radiation mode on the operating console ( which means no Iontomat Nor Bucky device are involved in the action)eg. wrist. Try to make exposure. Let me know if anode is rotating during the prep. phase and let me know what happens during exp. phase.
Still, you did not specify the system configuration.
Do not expect quick help without basic information of your trouble and I think, a service manual will not help you at all.
Did you get this unit up? If it was working and stopped,
do the basics. Take out the buck tray and check for markers
behind it, preventing seating of the tray. Philips will not
shoot table top if the tray is pulled out. A door switch
should prevent "ready light" from coming on; bypass the
door switch contacts. Check the "second trigger" of the
exposure switch; and the cable if pendant switch is used.
Check the bucky interlocks to insure a "loaded bucky" is
not sensed by the generator when table top is selected.
Does the unit have cassette size sensing? Is it working?
Hope this helps.
Dear Can you a small half circle indication on the left of the console display, if its there it means generator in standy after booting and every thing is ok.
in this case pls select free cassette option for exposure.
Generator will not expose if there is no casste in Tray.
if no half circle there is some thing wrong in the generator, and error message also appears on the Console scree.

The ready condition is when you have the green horse shoe on the generator console and green led on the CS.

On the Operating Console there is a READY sign light(green) which you have to observe every time before you make an exposure.
