The floppy disk drive of the C-arm was damaged, because the motor was burned. I have tried to replace it with another floppy disk drive, but the appears the message "DRIVE NOT REDY".
I have checked the Technique processor board and the floppy disk in another system and is still working OK.
I have tried with three different floppy disk drives, but I couldn't read the floppy disk, it always display the message "DRIVE NOT REDY".
Is the floppy disk drive modified?
How can I replace it?
Is this a different floppy Disk Drive?
Do I need to get a Floppy disk drive from another OEC-9000?
Help me, Please...
The floppy drive in the 9000 is a specially modified drive, you can not just buy any floppy drive and install it in the 9000, it's not going to work. Contact me for more info.
The floppy drive on 9000 is not a HD drive, it is an older version that wont support 1.44 MB disks it will only work with 720 KB disks. So my advise is to find an old 720 floppy drive.
