OEC 9000 boot problem

Doing the boot process my OEC 9000 freezes at the "please wait B8". The OEC rep says I need a bunch of stuff costing about 6k-7k. The machine was working perfectly until an wrong boot disck was put in. The original boot disk has be replaced into the machine but now it won't boot pat the abov point. Can I flash the BIOS? I don't trust the OEC rep. Any suggestions?

Those old 9000's are getting harder and harder to get parts for. My suggestion would be trade up to at least a used 9600 or 9800. You'll get better images and while the 9600 just went end of life, it's still a lot easier to get parts for it then a 9000 that went end of life 10 years ago or so.
Is there a reason you don't trust your OEC tech?
