OEC 9400 boot problems

Hello
I have a OEC9400 with boot problems, the machine jus starts booting but never finish and get hanged with "SYSTEM BIOS SHADOWED" and "VIDEO BIOS SHADOWED" mesages in the cart monitor, and "PLEASE WAIT.....B6" in the c arm console display.
Any help wpould be greatly apreciated

Disconnect the C-arm and just boot-up the monitor cart and see if it boots up ok stand alone if ok then hookup the c-arm see if you get the error message I have the service manual if interested e-mail me crisb1955@aol.com

Tanks for your support. I already made whath you suggest, i mean: Disconected the C-arm in this condition the monitor cart doesnt boot up, neighter display anything, when connecting the C-arm the B6 code is displayed in the C-arm display and "SYSTEM BIOS SHADOWED" and "VIDEO BIOS SHADOWED" mesages in the cart monitor,as menctioned before. I have the Service manual but i can not find any speific reference. I think the Techniqe PCB could be in fail condiction because any LED is on in this PCB.

Technique PCB is on the C and has nothing to do with the monitor cart booting. You need to resolve the monitor cart problem first. Is the HD ok?

A friend has the same problem, and says that maybe can be the HDD on Monitor Cart, so tell me if you solved the problem to do the same. I will tell you if he gets fix it first.

Dont know if this applies to the 9400 but on the 9600 a B6 error indicates either corrupt software, bad hard drive or bad motherboard. I know those are 3 big options to check and again this info is from the 9600 so it may or may not be relavent to the 9400.

You need reconfig the bios setup. This probably because batt on board is dead, or weak. Here the problem is understand the display in monitor cart. I suggest you find an old ISA bus VGA/EGA card, to see clearly the info on display.
