This problem is almost always a battery problem. I would say 90% of the time. Everytime I see this error on 9000, 9400 or 9600 I order a new set of batts. and install them. Getting to them is a lot of fun. You need to remove the h.v. transformer to get to them. There is a procedure for this in the 9000&9400 service manuals. Good luck!
I agree with Deon. 9 times out of 10 it's the battery pack. Have fun with that. OEC can't get them anymore and they won't install third party parts, so you have to hunt for them (Parts Hunter?) and then figure it out.

Can anybody help me with a problem in an OEC 9400 C-Arm.
The fault condition is indicated by "Pre-Charge Fail" on the C-Arm modual.
