OEC 9800 doesn't boot. Sequence interrupted in 5th arrow
September 06, 2017 12:38
Hello
I have a problem with an OEC 9800 plus. The power on sequence is interrupted in the 5th arrow, but monitor screens coming up without problem. The workstation boot up completely with or without the C arm connected, and in both cases the system interface board shows "AA" on its display. I checked pins of the interconnect harness from WS to C arm, all looks OK. All Power Supply voltages are OK. All fuses are good too. I checked the ARCNET signal coming from WS (with an oscilloscope) on the Fluoro functions board (TP6 & TP7) and looks like in the manual. The Fluoro Functions Board shows "00" on its display and all leds are on. Please, any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks Jeffrey!. The battery on the Gen Board had 0.2V. I replaced it, but I still have the same problem. Is probable than the data on the GEN board was erased due to this?

5th arrow means: Generator object tasks initialize. If boot-up fails on this arrow, check communications between workstation and c-arm. Check ARCNet. Verify that workstation completely boots. Possible corrupted ARCNet nodes, loose boards, interconnect cable bad. Check to see if you have 5.1 Vdc on TP3 of the Control Panel Processor PCB under the doghouse....if not adjust R51 on PS1.

Take the interconnect cable cannon plug apart and ensure each wire is making good contact. On c-arm side, lightly push in on each interconnect pin; none of them should move. Unless something is wrong, the monitors will always work when disconnected from c-arm, which is a good TS technique to decide if c-arm or WS is at fault.

You will need to set the correct date and time. You need an external keyboard to do that

I have 4.9 in TP3 of control panel PCB, that counts as good voltage?
