I have a problem during flouro where the image goes black and kv runs to max. It's generating flouro measured from my fluke victoreen. It happens randomly. Any information appreciated.
Good day Johnny,
The 9800 AEC is controlled by the video signal and how bright/dark it is will regulate the kv. So, since you said that you are still getting flouro and also that the image goes black, seems that the video cable in the trunk cable is probably bad.
From what I remember, there should be a spare video cable you can use in the trunk cable. I would start there. If the cable is not the problem, then I would start looking at the camera or II voltage supplies and the Video system.
Good luck! Feel free to send me a message if you need more help.

Hello Johny,
Sounds like you may have a defective cable harness. From my experience a possible broken wire(s) causing missing input supply to your I.I power supply. CCD camera could also have a similar issue. Feed back control voltage for fluoro dose tracking, suply voltage to CCD camera or the CCD camera itself could also be the issue.
You can contact me via email @ frank@suntronixmedicalimaging.com for further help if you need it.

I think you have a problem in the camera or in the signal video cable inside C arm. Try to force the problem moving the C, to see if it happen in any fixed position. If no video signal kv goes at maximum.
Thanks for all the response. I have isolated the problem to the video control pcb, image processor pcb. I had a hv cable assy with me was able to rule out the video cable inside the harness and interconnect cable on the workstation. I measured voltage at the II power supply and it was present. Could still possibly be the ccd camera also.

because its intermittant, you might want to verify the voltages are in the correct levels and reseat all connections to do with the Image Intensifier.

Take a look at the II high voltage power supply
