Power on the machine, the screen displays:A disk read error occurred. Insert a system diskette and restart the system. The system disk has been checked,it is no problem.I have tried to enter bios setup, the machine auto-reboot.I think it maybe the bios battery problem,so I changed the real-time clock lithium battery(M48T86PC1)on the P54C CPU board.Power on the machine, the screen prompt enter the setup password.I don't know. How can I do to recoery the machine? Can you help me?
Thank u for your reply. The two password you give is service password.Maybe I need the BIOS setup password. Before the workstation:MDA bootup, the screen refer this:Copyrights Phoenix Technologies Ltd., Texas Micro Inc.P5100HX Industrial BIOS,Version 4.05a.2.2 GE Medical, and then let me input the BIOS setup password. So I need it to enter BIOS setup program.
Per all the installation and service info the BIOS password is suppose to be disabled, not sure on your system can you remove the backup battery and restore the bios to defaults, this should turn off the Bios password.
