Recently we have purchased a used Philips C-arm BV 29 version HHS, 120 Vac, 60 Hz from USA. We want to use it in India where the input available is 220 Vac, 50 Hz. In the service manual it is mentioned that we can change the internal wiring to make the unit work on 220 Vac but nothing is mentioned regarding wheather the unit will work on 50 Hz or not.
Are there any settings which we can change so that the unit works on 50 Hz or we will have go in for a frequency converter ? Pls advice.
With warm Regards,

The BV-29 will work on 120-220, 50 or 60 Hz. However, to change the unit from 120/60 you must restrap the incoming power transformer. Then you must change the jumper setting for 50 Hz on the Scopofix(storage unit), the XTV(camera), alphnumeric control and the hv generator.
This entire procedure takes about 2 hours. You will also have to resize the tv input image to gain a round picture due to the difference in 525/625 video line rates.
