Hi there,
I'm desperately hoping someone out there can help with my Philips HD11 problem. Basically when powering up, it goes through the motions of loading, and then when it comes to the picture of the HD11 stage, it comes up with the message, internal error problem, etc etc, and then offers the option of restarting. The problem is, it now never gets past this stage. Before doing this, the machine hadn't been on for a couple of weeks. And apart from the occasional internal error during use (resulting in having to restart it), it's been absolutely fine. I would very much appreciate any help from anyone as to why this is happening and what I can do.
Kind regards
Darren
I suggest replacing the system power supply. We have three of these units and so far two have had the same symptoms you describe and responded well to PS replacement.
Thanks v much for your reply, having done a RST test and other tests, it all points towards the power supply. The -HV light does not come on at first and then finally lights up (when the system error message has came up) which again lets me believe it is to do with the power supply. Do you know if the power supply is repairable? if so do you know where I may get a philips hd11 power supply schematics from? Once again I appreciate your help and advice. Kind regards Darren
It is the Power Supply. Replace it with P/N: 453561161892. This should fix any problems relating to "power-up hiccup" or PS issues.
The power supply is repairable, however it is very sophisticated. It integrates digital and analog. Good luck getting schematics, unless you know a Philips electrical engineer that designed this part. I don't know of anyone, beside Philips, that can rework the original PS to P/N: 453561161892.
The most common problem with the HD11 is the power supply. It can be a few different things though, but I would check the voltages on your power supply first.

First check the leds and voltages in the power supply. This problem is not always from the power supply. Easy, run the RST Diagnost Test, and will tell you if its a problem of boards, software or PS.

Darren, these are the things you need to check: Reset the token ring cable and see if that solve your problem, if you have a new one replace it first. If that does not solve your problem then you have to determine where the problem is produce, is it at the E-Box or at the PC side and once that is determine then replace the board as needed or if is necessary then replace the power supply. Need more help, my email is 2011jpacheco@gmail.com. Good luck.

Hello Darren
I had that problem already twice.
Have you found any power supply schematics?
Have you solved it other way than replacement of the power supply?

I've installed the system power supply in 2 of our three systems to correct this problem.
