Dear Friends.
I Have one ultrasound Philips HD3 2007 this system run and appear the logo Philips, then system send one message:
Best From CD:
DISK BOOT FAILURE, INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND PRESS ENTER
Any Idea of this message?
I check the voltajes in HDD and this is 5V and 9.8 - 10 Volts, How I can test the HDD for to know if this is fail? or some suggesting about this?
This Request of help is because in Mexico one person sale the HDD with options in 999 Dlls. by ebay and is very expensive for me, and maybe is not the problem.
I have one disk for HD11 sw revisión 1.0.1 if some need one copy
Thank you friends.
The unit doesn't recognize the HDD.
2 possible problems:
You need +12V on the HDD connecor. If there's no 12V, then the problem is in the power supply, not in the HDD.
You can also take the HDD out and connect it to PC, run some diagnostics on it (HD tune) to see if it works properly.
Hello Rodolfo,
I'm not sure it's part of the issue, but... Is this an IDE disk? Using AMP MATE-N-LOK (often refered to as MOLEX) connector? Then the voltages should be (from pin 1 to 4) 12Volts (yellow cable), ground (black cable), ground again (and again, black cable), and 5Volts (red cable). Take a look here, as a reference:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Molex_connector
I repeat, maybe that's not the main issue, but I'd try to replace the HDD power supply, or at least connect the HDD to a standard PC and test if the disk works as expected. Keep in mind I don't work with US systems, so I'm not aware of what kind of filesystem whould be present on Your disk, in this case. Should it be FAT12, FAT16, FAT32 or NTFS, then You can check it with (almost) any version of Microsoft Windows. Otherwise Your best bet is using Linux. :-)
Hi. Its normal error when its no operation system found..
1: use a new HDD and reinstall the software
2: change the NAP
3: make sure the bios config is OK
