Here is the error decoded. E=Scanner portion, F=Conditional error, 79E=Most probable cause is the Distribution Board or the Transducer.

Hi, Many thanks for your reply. I swapped out the distribution board but couldnt find a 3D distribution board for the 7500, so thought Id try a 5500 distribution board, hoping it would be compatible. It allowed me to boot up normally but gave a message saying that the 3 D probe would not be funcional. However, on attempting to plug in non-3D probes like the S8 or S4, it would bring up anoter messafge saying to reconnect the probe and press reset. This would lead to a freeze situation. So I wanted to ask is the 5500 distribution boarn not compatible with the 7500? Alos i was getting an 0E04 error on the LED indicator on the processor graphics board which, accoring to the 5500 service manual, indicates a T-Cine-SW RAM failure . Any idea on how to proceed. Can't seem to find a replacement 3D distribution board 77110-20440 anywhere online, but there are the 5500 distrribution boards available, which is why i thought I would try it and didn't mind loosing the 3D probe functionality.

Hello,
Check distribution board or transducer. Remove transducer and try again.

Hi thanks for the replies. Reconnecting transducer does not work. Removed distribution board but couldn't source a 7500 distribution board so tried a 55oo distribution board as I thought it may be compatible. It worked to allow normal boot up and made it to operating screen with no transducers connected. It did give a warning that no 3D probes could be used, but still allowed me to get to main screen. However on attempting to connect any transducers it would give an error message to "reconnect transducer and press reset" after which the system would attempt to reboot but then freeze up with the monitor not even turing on.
Anyone know if i can make the 5500 distribution board work in the 7500. Was the only option I had since they are 5500 DB availabe to purchase second hand but no 7000 DBs.
Will appreciate any advice given.
Also scanned 7500 DB for any burned components but nothing looks abnormal. Anyone has any experience with repairing these boards and any ideas on what could be the issue?
Many thanks again.
