Possible tube arcing? Have you checked high voltage cables for indication of arcing? Not sure what lamp other than charging indicator is on the system.
Please check the lamp socket and the lamp itself. This can lead to this problem. The lamp is controlled by the USB BOB. There too, a plug can be loose. (WBOB X9 or X16)
