Phillips HDI5000 error 0087!!!! Need help

April 16, 2015 01:33

Local customer had there HDI5000 go down, issue turned out to be a bad PCM board which i replaced then updated the system. It has since been sitting and now is ready to return to the customer. When i went to test again before taking to customer i got an error message i hadnt seen before--- 0087

Now i understand 87 is a software issue, but i have been told by a company assisting me that if there phillips cmos mattery is dead i could see this issue. Upon removing this battery i noticed it wasnt a common batt. Its an ibutton that has data threw put. The voltage of this is .3V, which i assume is suppose to be around 3V.

Can i just swap the ibutton battery for a new one or is there a special procedure to replace this battery?

Any help is very appreciated, really need this unit running ASAP. Any other ideas please feel free to shoot me an email to tstcbiomed90@gmail.com

This is why I asked you where did you find the battery, the CPU board has a ID Chip that looks just like a ibutton battery

Josh, I'm not an expert but work sometimes with those units. the times I saw this problem is because I replace any part. This unit make a list of the boards installed and during boot up it compare all the boards ID with the original internal list. If something is different shows the error. what you need to do is save the list as Installed as Expected. This will include the new part to the list and the next time the unit bootup do not shot the error. hope this helps

Okay so now i have determined that the issue lies in the cabling or the APM. I have run the system diagnostics for installed software and it all passed. As well as the comprehensive test with a pass, this is with the t connectors on the apm and enet box, 50ohm caps on both.

Can anyone tell me why there are t connectors on the enet box with a 50ohm ground on one side? When i remove them i dont get the 0087 error but a 0089 instead.

My friend 089, 090 and 087 are all communication issues between HDI and APM, now 089 you can check cabling 087 most likely the APM is not booting or has application problems due to HD or software. You may need to replace A PM if don't know any better.
I hope it helps rey@allultrasoyndservices.com
The T on the cable is a terminator that is why when you remove it you get 089 error.
