If the chip in the machine says it has diagnostics, but they have expired, you can unlock them. Phillips won't sell a chip with diagnostics enabled unless they do a service contract on the machine. You can call me if you want.

You can enable the expired diags if you have the battery style system monitor PCB. It will have a round coin sized battery right next to the microcontroller chip. From IQ>show_cnf , get the expiration date of the chip. Then look in IQ>cal_del , select F6 just to view cal files, not delete, and get the most recent date.
Set the date before that date , but after the latest CAL file with the touch panel, then power down. short the + to - on the battery for at least 10 seconds. On power up green screen menu, select option 6 (warning will delete any images so be sure they are archived already) , and when you boot up diagnostics will work. If they dont repeat this procedure. If you have the NVRAM style board, Philips will sell you an "O" level chip for image cals only, for a cost of ~$250 USD
Good luck, Dave

Dear Abdula,

I need to enable the diagnostic software on a PQS CT System.

I have performed the procedure refered on this email forum. But I have had not good luck.

Do you have another tip on the procedure than you may share with me please ?

Many thanks,

Miguel,

Please forward the procedure at the top of this page. Dave is absolutely correct about how to enable the software for service mode.

Dear Ralph/
Scooter

I deed several times the procedure, but still diagnostics software is dissabled. I think there is some hardware throuble on System Monitor board.
My main problem on the PQS scanner is that CCT/SS Hardware is dissabled, ( the Gantry do not enable any drive ). Nothing seems to be
wrong on Gantry. But Console do not read XSC or GPU. I can do gxd comand to download software on XSC/GPU with 100% sucsesfull. I did change GPU, PMDC and Scanner Interface bds, with no throuble change. Do You have any idea what is happenig?.

I checked the interconenting cables also, and I can see some signal on reception/transmition optical serial communications lines on GPU.

Thank you very much for some body else comments,

Regards,

You didn't need CCT/SS hardware to be enabled. This is an option.
The procedure to enable diag is correct and working. Look again for calibration data.
How you check that the console didn't read XSC and GPU.
Describe better your problem and the what checks are done

When I type show_cnf, at the botton of first page
appears the message: XSC can“t be read. ( slip ring/ brushes, fuses, etc, are ok ). The ready LED on OP Panel console gets on.

When I try to do a warm up, on the touch screen the message:
"Interrupted prosses, Retry 3".
On Regulus sceen: "Not time to transfer"
Some times: GPU corrupt code, download required

Setting the date in REGULUS will NOT work, you MUST set the date at the touch screen to your right.

The procedure will NOT work if your setting the date with the DATE command within REGULUS.

Try the procedure above again, this time short the battery prior to starting the procedure and leave it shorted until after the procedure, power-down for 15 minutes then power up again after the reset and date changes.
