hi
I am trying to get set up in case i have a power failure. I need to find a port generator tha will run a AC unit and a Chiller for my MRI PHILIPS T1 Magnet
Chiller 22amps 3phase 208/230
1-- compress pump
AC unit 95 amps 3phase 208/230
2-- compress pumps and a reheat unit 20kw
can you tell me if the generator is a 75kva
what is kva?
is it the same a watts or Killwatts
sorry to be so dumb
can you tell me what 75kva would be in watts and killwatts
thanks again joe

http://www.macgen.com/calcul.html
that site calculates power for you, 50kva Is cutting it close a 75 kva should do just fine.

kva is simply 65k or thousand. 65,000watts
to find what amperage you need simply apply watts law. watts divided by power source.
example. the typical MRI trailer is around 100amps @480 3phase. lets say we use a 75kva gen.
then its 75,000 divided by 480 i believe its around 156.25 amps of power.
good luck
