Point-Of-Care 140 Artifacts! HELP

Troubleshooting a poc-140, artifacts can be seen to the right side of the image on multiple cassettes. Size of artifact changes relative to the size of the image. I have cleaned the lens of the PM tube with no change. Anyone have any ideas? All ive come up with is clean/lube the worm gear.

Most likely, bad contact or is broken a flat cable from the laser board.
