i have a problem with a HDJ 3000 ultrasound unit.
The unit powers up fine and enters standby mode. when turning the system on, all the leds on the user interface flashes and the screen shows the color bar. after this a blue screen flashes and then the display hangs in a grey screen. This machine was donated to a hospital and shipped without a backup disk. Is there a way to know if the harddrive is still intact or that the sofware only is corrupt?
Connect laptop to system. Connector on rear, CPU board.
Serial: 19200,8,none,1
Note bootup info on laptop and see if system mounts
"hd0" and loads successfully. If not, probably bad drive.
I have the same problem with the HDI3000.
I placed the back-up disk and then the system did boo up but gave me the following error:
FEC MOP reported hw error during bootup
(1902-1991-2404-5B30781)
FEC hardware test failure
I could also not select any probe with the boot up from the back-up disk. This also gave an error.
Does this mean that the hard disk is corrupt? Or also the software?

The Hyper term program found in Windows Accessory folder works just fine.
Set up for "com port" at 19200, 8, none, 1

If the system booted from the emergency disk,then the HD is bad or need reload software.The error is diferent problem.
