Note the Error Details. (Sytec s) after Installation.
1. When the System is turned ON the buttons (Table set, Ready & Start)lights and goes off with date display screen and the system gives the
following errors.
ER-112 XG Communication Error 01 (Description -Hard Error (Parity Error, Framing Error or Over run Error)
ER-116 XG Response Timeout
Then the system shows system preparation and never gets ready. Also the above error displays repeatedly in an interval.
2. Gantry seems OK as there is no error indication in the TGP Board and the Gantry passes all the off line test from the TGP Board. Also the Gantry rotates with power ON and comes back to the home position.
3. The Generator side is OK as there is exposure when it is made locally from the generator.
Whether the buttons (Table set, Ready & Start) lights when the system is turned ON. This lights even with the CPW board removed or with all connection between Gantry, Generator with MISC is removed (2 flat cables). Cable continuety is good.
Is this due to any safety loop.
Hope somebody can assist me.
With Best Regards,
Biju
Dear Biju,
It seems to be problem in the Console ..Can you check the OFF-line test in the CPW board by selecting proper DIP switch setting in the CPW board as well as the communication between Hard disk and CPW board and other associated board functional intergrity in the console Okay? .
If you specify inform me the Sytec Model?I can assist you further more about trouble shooting .
Also if we make the DIP 4 of SW6A27 (OC INTF SW) of MISC Board ON the system starts. By setting the DIP-4 ON the communication between Console and TGP is disabled. So the console is OK except MISC Board.
In the other case after the Date & Time display the system remains in preparation.
This System when turned ON the buttons (Table set, Ready & Start) lights, is it normal.
Dear Mr.Biju:
I Think it's indeed the communication problem as the sysytem shows,You could check
1.the +5VDC /120A power in OC,adjust it to the specification,2.and all the DC power in XG cabinet.3.the interface ICs on the two B'd :
power contral and the i/f b'd in the OC.
when you p-on the system ,some of the putton light on OC could be lit up.---it's OK.
Since you say there are no errors led's illuminated on the TGP board, the Gantry performs its initial powerup rotate-rotate sequence and no other errors other than those in the log, in my opinion you have either a bad cable from the Misc board to the Generator (Misc CN7 to XG Power Cont Assy CN1) or either a bad Misc or Power Cont Board.
their are sytec i series (slj), sytec 2000/3000/4000/vertex series (Vj)(Lj),,sytec synergy series (XM1500),, sytec 1600i/1800i/Eu Series (SYj),,sytec SRi/Legato Series (XMj),, So which one is it specificly it might as simple as a corroded connection or you need to jumper out an interlock. I know systems that will do everything except an exposure when a door is not closed.
Gantry Interlocks and/or a Cable Takeup switch would not cause the ER-112 and ER-116 errors Biju spoke of initially in this thread. Since Biju has checked the cables from the Misc to TGP and Pwr Cont boards, the problem is most likely a defective Misc or Power Control board.
hi Elliot i have a problem with a sytec 2000i could you helpme please?
1. I found a purpose general diode in the axial motor in short circuit
2 this diode burn the 24 vd power supply
3. I changed the diode
4. i repaired the power supply
but now i turn on the system and inmediatly the servo-amplifier show the error 8
and the tTGP board light on the led SVALM I test the servo-amplifier in another system and it work perfectly same the TGP boar, I changed the motor and I cant fix teh problem
any help will be apreciated

Thanks Suresh,

I did both the offline test and it passes.

Hai All,
Thanks
Console 5v/120A power is OK and the continuity of the cable from MISC to TGP & Power Control board is OK.

Hai Dean/All,
Thanks.
The Model is Sytec S (2000i). This belongs to Sytec i Series(SLj)
I also suspect some interlock problem.
Awaiting your reply.
