1.- make sure you have diagnostics full available
cddiag
rev
2.-make sure pin is not on image, just rod(plastic without metal pin
3.- artifacts on images? computer will can not calculate center
Dear jose
no artifacts are coming in image,
but in last 2, 3 scans of Axial( of Brain) the Two mid lines are coming in images,
is the leteral Centring or tube Centring is must.
Your problem is a software related one. Core dumped means that regulus couldn't progress executing the task and "dumped" a core file. Dyring the "old good days" you could archive it using arcdump and send it to Picker International Service Programs for evaluation. Today, I don't know if such a help is available at Philips.
Being a software problem, start trying soft-related solutions (i.e. reinstall it)
Center can perfectly handle phantom misplacements like pin or rod position giving explicit error messages, aborting the program and returning the IQ prompt without core dumping.
I hope the above lines can give you a hint about the solution of your problem.

It looks like you're scanning the internal metal pin of the central rod. You need to make sure only acrilyc gets on the way.
