Hi Jaime
I had the same problem on my system. GE software uses the chip's MAC address (also reffered to as Host ID on SUN computers)to validate software at boot up. Since you cannot replace the chip's battery you must replace the chip. Also VERY IMPORTANT! The chip should have a little sticker on it with the address written. You have to have this address to install on the new chip. sometimes the address is written in the install documents.
Channaging a MAC/Host ID isn't hard.
Search the WEB under Sun hostid / MAC address manipulation and you'll find instructions.
Please tell me your personal email to share some useful information.
Firt of all, you should try to recalibrate the compression system. You will need a weigth tester (device used to know the person weight, I don not its name in english).
Go to Arm section, and follow the indications.
1.0 dNw apox equal to 1.0 Kg
Make sure you get the MAC Address and hostid of the old NVRAM. Replace the NVRAM and reconfigure it using the PROM mkpl command to have the old MAC Address and hostid as before so that your license key is valid.

Hello everyone,
We have a GE 2000D digital mammohrapy system which has lost the NOVRAM data from mother board. It seems that this is because of the battery.
We are looking for a solution to this problem?
I look forward to your valuable solutions.
Thank you.

Hi Bill,
Do you have the mammocom software?
Mammocom software works fine in windows 95 or 98 (
It will be more easy for you if you have a database to load in the CPU.
You can copy it from another equipment or recalibrate the generator.
