I would like to know with someone already repaired optical module for CR10-x. how to adjust the galvo mechanically. I working with repairing electrical board. With the software i know how to calibrate, but in hardware i need ajustment for turn on.
There is no adjustment for the optics module, you likely don't have a problem with it but with another board.
The only time you might have problems with the optics module is if you removed the optics and dropped it.
You most likely have a problem with the PMI board, you cannot exchange parts from another CR10 to make this one function. The serial numbers are burned in the board on turn on.
Purchase a PMI board and call it a day.
Why do you think you have problems with the optics module?
Sorry for the delay in returning the message I was notified today about it. I'm sure it's the module because when it's replaced with a new one the CR-10 works normally. The problem is Galvo, but I do not know how to correct it.

You correct it by replacing the optics module. There is no way to adjust it in field. AGFA has a specialized test jig for adjusting the Galvo frequency and realigning the mirrors for the laser diode for optimum IP Scan. I've seen them do this while I toured Mortzel several years ago. Process was the same for the old LR3300 Laser Film Printers.
The Optics Module is opened in a clean room environment, they have the necessary software to operate the Galvo and adjust the frequency.
If you order the optics module from AGFA they will need the error log from the digitizer as well as the info counter. There is a core charge on the optics module, however if you break the seal you will void the core and they will not issue a credit when you return it.
Have you been able to fix your problem?
Do you have the circuit diagram for the optical unit?
Kindly share it if you have.
I have problem with optical unit
Hi, I noticed the green light on the 10x when the machine boots and connects with the work station.
But if it's left on for a long time it gets changed to red blinking light and used to get a 10852 error message on the console.
But if one switches off the machine after the read process and reboots for next exposure it didn't occur.(sometimes it was left on for upto 45 to 50 minutes - I didn't try it for longer periods)
I was able to use the machine for nearly two years.
But it reoccured in March 2022.
But this time I couldn't get rid of the red blinking light on the machine.
When I looked through the cassette insertion tray I could see a red light moving as a line horizontally.
Before turning the machine lights to green this red light moves to both the edges and appears as a single line before the machine adjusts and after adjustment gives a brighter red light.
(Viewing this is not recommended as it's a laser light).
Now I had given up all hope as every where it suggested only replacement of the optical unit.
So finally decided to open the machine.
I just removed the top cable strip connected to the optical unit and reinserted it back in place.(this was done with the machine switched off - as recommended)
Then closed the unit and voila got the green light on the next boot.
Was able to read cassetes exposed two days earlier too.
Don't know how long it would work , but for now it does.
Just sharing my experience.

There is no servicing the optics module. Replacement part must be ordered from agfa.

As mentioned earlier the problem reoccured this time removing and refixing the cable did not help.
Guess I will have to replace the optical unit
