Dear Friends.
i installed a USED proview MRI.
before dowing shim i tested the SNR of all the coils, they all was too low (about quarter of the norm for all)
does the bad shim may result in the a.m. trouble?
what could be the other posibilities?
Well, A lot of possibilities.
1. Bad or no shimming after the installation.
2. Faulty shim (it can be tested using 2nd order shim calibration procedure) if calibration pass you can see if you get a maximum within the range (-1000 1000) for all the axis.
3. Bad RF calibration (after installation)
4. Incorrect phantom solution. (it is not a water)
5. Faulty Tx/Rx Pin driver
Please say more about your system installation process (shimming, calibration)
