I need to know if anyone knows which capacitor replaces the Maxwell catalog no. 30842, serial no. 9620P11/D, since I have tried to contact Maxwell for 4 times and got no response whatsoever. It's such a big company and I really don't think it takes a rocket scientist to provide such a simple information.
Thanks a lot in advance for your kind help!
Regards,
Felipe
In order to replace a capacitor through interchange one has a need to know:
MFD rateing
Voltage rateing
This will be stamped on the capacistor something like:
20MFD@400V or 20Mf/400WV
Once this is done the phyical size of the capacistor used to replace the old capacistor must be compairable to fit the application.
Part numbers on capacistors become obselete overnight on most applications.
Once you determind the "value" of the capacistor, and the phyical size then they are very easy to find.
If you like you may e-mail me a picture and possiably I can read the value of the capacistor for you.
Best of luck,
Chas.
