I have a PICKER 5000 CT Scanner, Recently I facing a problem,I could'nt even warm up the X-ray tube although the system on.the system was ready to but unfortunately I could'nt on the gantry, After cheking through the error log I found SCAREMAN Timeout waiting error 601 writen in the error list.
I open the gantry and found LED light on the XSC assembly turned to red, indicate rotating frame in fault.
SCAREMAN errors (600 series) are (almost anytime) generated due to console problems. Verify software (reload it from generic tapes) and check CPB, SIF and both MPM (VIM is treated as a MPM). The XSC red light is irrelevant in this topic.
Red light at xsc just mean that the protection gullwing swith is actived. It will ocurr each time you open gantry front door.
Try pull it out until you listen a click. This swicht is located at front up left corner and is white. After do it turn key to get ready light again and check gantry rotate or not but red light must be turned off.
601 ususally mean that operator press stop button but may indicate a corrupted software. Try reloading software with PITY tape and checking cable connectors between Gantry and Console.
One more thing that I forgot to tell you guys, There is a key swicth on the console unit, I have to turn a key 3 steps, right? 1st step it will on the console, 2nd step and 3rd step it will activate the gantry, When the gantry activated, necesserily control panel on the gantry will turn to green light and it will show the position of the couch,Problem now nothing to be shown and only laser button turned to red.
Have you checked the gantry power supplies?
This sounds like you have an intermittent supply.
Errors in the 600 range can be caused by a loss of communication between the gantry and the CPU.
I did checked the power supply,O.k. You are right Duane, Gantry did'nt received a signal from console (CPU), console did'nt communicate with gantry. I found one more error in the error log. before error 601 appear to lead with an error code 1404, You know what is eror code 1404 is?
TRY THIS:
Turn off the system
back gantry down at left is a small door. open it and turn key to service position
make sure gullwing white swicht is in service position (pulled)
press yellow button and wait. if gantry made a normal turn on proceed, press yellow button again and verify correct numbers on gantry dysplais. wrong numbers? probably bad cpu. Good numbers and gantry lasers ok? reload software
As instructed, I did press turned key to service position and press yellow button, it remain the same. It does'nt works.
Before this problem happen, I found that the one of the two laser light from left and right of the gantry does not align properly.It was little off, It suppose to meet together and become one line,right? and I want you, about the patient couch, can couch moving forward and reverse even no power supply.My CT scanner couch could move even no power supply. What You say?
As I understood now every time you turn the gantry on you get laser indicators on, no numbers on both gantry side pannels and gantry xray light on. If so, it seems the GPUC code is corrupted. Download it again from the console using gxd gpu after enabling GPUC hardware for such download.
Have you checked the slip ring brushes?
There is a possibility that one has broken off and shorted out the system.
Please check this and let me know. If this did happen, let me know and I will help you.
