Hi to all..
I have a problem for ct- scanner shimadzu sct4500ct window image inclined position when we done the water phantom during slices the image left and right inverted position.
We did the ROTSPD here the results:
scan speed: 4.5 sec. direction: rvs
Results:
AV(ms) : 5.68
Max (ms) : 7.05
Min (ms) : 5.15
F10( ms) : 1.37
The rotation angle the line is not like a flat. just like a sine wave result.
This is not gantry rotation ecoder? how I could align. If somebody knows this problem please help me.
Please give me more details about the problem you have. We maintain several Shimadzu CT scanners. ROTSPD test need not be flat always. But I think the problem you have, nothing to do with ROTSPD test.
This is not a rotation problem. On the 4500 the actual rotation display should be a sine wave showing the begin-end of the scan cycle.
This problem sounds like a software orientation problem that has reversed the foot/head (first) position. That is the only thing that will rotate the image 180 degrees.
Hi K SHIJU,
This equipment was installed few months ago transfered by another clinic, after the installation we found out that has been trouble of the ma board cont., but we repaired alrady. please note that we replaced new tube from dunlee, calibration on the filament was done after our testing the result of the pantom was inclined 45* degress on images inverted feft and right position, the water position on the pantom was inclined suppose the water should be horizontal...so if you can help us or advise is highy appreciated.
if you make a CR program (mode set), with AP position the tube is ubicated automatically at 12 o'clock? if you make a LAT CR, the tube moves to 3 o'clock?; you need to remove the gantry cover to see from the front of gantry.
Dear Jun,
Left and Right inverted Images are appearing because of the software settings of foot/head orientation as infromed by Scooter. I am not able to understand what you mean by 45 degree inclines phantom images? If you can mail the images I can give you the solutions. Have you done X-ray tube left/right, front/Back adjustments while replacing the tube?
Regards,
Shiju.
I think you have problem with BP(Back Projection) Angle.
You mentioned that you changed the tube on this system. If you changed type of tube( ex. 2 MHU to 1.5MHU or whatever ), using REGTUBE command in CLI
mode, then your Back Projection Angle data has been changed. I had similar problem as well.
Anyhow, use folowing commands in CLI mode to fix your problem: MESBPAG (measures angle for correcting display deviation), SETBAPG ( sets angle for correcting display deviation).
Use watter phantom, but half loaded with watter(because than you will have your reference for 0 degree line).
Important thing is, first, you use SETBAPG command and set all BP angle values to 0. After that, use MESBAPG command to measure angle deviation of water line in phantom, against 0 degree and write down the results.
Do this procedures for all rotation speeds in CV and CCV directions.
After this measurement, input measured data ( but with opposite sign ( + to -, - to + )using SETBAPG command. I belive this will help to solve your problem.

Thanks all your concern...We did cr scanning...
scanning start position @ 3 o'clock then going thru parking position @ 12 o'clock.
During slices the ganrty rotated going around to 5 o'clock...then the first rotation stop @ 2 o'clock.
next slice from 2 o'clock 1 rotation again going back to 5 o'clock...
Another slice from 5 o'clock reverse going to 2 o'clock then the gantry rotated going through parking position @ 12 o'clock.
As I observed the tube position during slice started @ 5 o'clock thats why the image was oblique not perpendicular position.
we think suppose the tube position start @ 6 o'clock...if I'm correct...
We shall appreciate your kind attention on this matter.
Thanks to all...
