iam working on a siemans somatom 16 slice ct and the table is all the way up and the problem is when you press the down botton you can hear a relay come in then nothing it like shuts down and then comes back on table stuck can someone plesae help thankyou
There should be an access panel at the bottom of the table near the gantry on the pt right side. Inside is an override so you can lower the table to middle travel. Check your foot switches for proper operation and end limit switches.
i really do thank you for the input.i checked the limit switch its good,you know that long worm gear or screw shaft the motor turns to drive table ud or down.well the the non motor side has that maglock,the 4 ajusting bolts backed them off 1 half turn .its started working but it was still having a hard time so i backed them a quarter turn more its working fine now do you happen to know if there supose to be pouer to that at all times there were no drawing for me to check cause there is voltage that never drops out.and thanks again getting back.thankyou ken
There is an access panel on the table at the patients right side near the gantry. Put the table into override and check the operation of the footswitch and end limit switches.
if its a watercooled system . below table there is shaft from motor you can put a spanner and make it mechanically down before that see whether you have transport block fixed .if not you can try this,

put grease on the shaft and do two oe three times fully up and down from control panel.may be the grease has gone dry
